CAPITAL IN THE 21ST CENTURY – ★★★☆ – a documentary based on the book, telling yet another way the world is going to hell in a hand basket. I’ll hope that positive outcomes occurs when governments finally start ruling for the people more than the large companies that lobby them. #MIFF2019

THE UNKNOWN SAINT – ★★★ – slow paced but well made film from Morocco (generally) about a criminal who hides money, and after being caught and released from prison tries to get it back.

MEMORY: THE ORIGINS OF ALIEN – ★★★☆ – Excellent documentary about Alien and its ties to its influences both in the recent past and mythology. Nice mix of academic analysis and interviews with the crew.

Reflecting before my Kino cinema session. #MIFF2019

CARMINE STREET GUITARS – ★★★☆ – A short mosaic of moments in a small NYC guitar shop where the instruments are hand made (would love to own one!) and stories are shared. Nice doc, but okay to wait for TV. #MIFF2019
