CERULEAN BLUE – ★★★ – First feature length film for this Australian director. This road movie was lacking in cohesion, but I look forward to future works that tighten things up a little. Unless I missed something? #MIFF2019

BELLBIRD – ★★★☆ – Relaxed paced, but charming NZ film with heart, about a dairy farmer and his dealing with the loss of his wife. Great performances throughout. #MIFF2019

EXTRA ORDINARY – ★★★★★★★★★★★★★ – A devilish 13 stars for this wonderful, hilarious, eyerolling treat about a ghost whisperer. For fans of Taika Waititi films. #MIFF2019 #BestEnding

A BROTHER’S LOVE – ★★★☆ – French Canadian comedy/drama about a academic’s journey trying to find herself. Wasn’t bad, but lost steam by the end. #MIFF2019
